We offer this Limited Warranty in addition to your statutory rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). To make a warranty claim, you must provide proof of purchase, evidence of correct installation and care, and confirm that the product was used according to the intended residential or commercial purposes specified. The warranty excludes coverage for misuse, neglect, improper installation, unauthorized repairs, and damage caused by harsh chemicals such as bleach, ammonia, or solvents, or by acts of nature. Additionally, cosmetic changes that result from normal wear and tear are not considered defects and are not covered under this warranty.

Warranty Coverage by Product Line

Outdoor & Indoor Furniture (Stocked, Non-Custom):

• Residential use: 2 years coverage for frames; 1 year for fabrics, foam, zippers, and finishes.
• Commercial use: 1 year coverage for frames; 6 months for fabrics and finishes.

Custom-Made Kitchens (Cabinetry/Joinery):

• Residential use: 7 years warranty on workmanship and structure when installed by Teak & Rope’s recommended or licensed installers.
• Commercial use: 2 years coverage.
• Hardware and appliances are covered according to their manufacturer’s warranty.

Custom Aluminum-Framed Glazed Windows & Doors:

• Residential use: 7 years warranty on frames and hardware, provided installation complies with AS 2047 and AS 1288 standards.
• Commercial use: 3 years coverage.
• Glazing is covered as per the manufacturer’s warranty.
• Failures caused by building movement outside standard tolerances are excluded.

WPC Decking:

• Residential use: 25 years limited warranty covering structural integrity, resistance to rot and decay, and termite damage when installed according to Teak & Rope’s installation guide.
• Commercial use: 10 years coverage.

PVC Decking:

• Residential use: 30 years warranty.
• Commercial use: 10 years warranty.

Exterior Wall Cladding & Screening (WPC):

• Residential use: 15 years warranty.
• Commercial use: 7 years warranty.

Décor, Vases, Artificial Plants:

• Residential use: 1 year warranty.
• Commercial use: 6 months warranty.

Warranty Activation and Claims Process

• Activation: Registration of your warranty within 30 days of delivery is recommended but not mandatory. Registration can be completed via Teak & Rope’s website and requires proof of purchase, installation date, product location, and specification of whether the product is for residential or commercial use. Failure to register does not affect your rights under the ACL.
• Claims: To initiate a warranty claim, contact Teak & Rope with your order number, photographs of the issue, site details, and installer information if relevant. Teak & Rope may arrange to inspect the product or request the return of the affected part.
• Remedies: At its discretion, and subject to legal requirements, Teak & Rope may repair or replace the defective component, supply an equivalent product, or provide a refund if required by law.

Limitations and Exclusions

• The warranty applies only to the original purchaser and the original installation site, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
• Fading or discoloration from prolonged direct sunlight or coastal conditions must be consistent with the care instructions, and some color change over time is considered normal.
• Improper sub-frame design, inadequate ventilation or clearances, or use of non-compliant fasteners or adhesives may void the warranty.
• Commercial installations are covered for shorter durations, acknowledging higher traffic and more frequent cleaning regimes.
